We were mostly in the Strandhill area which is beautiful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Beautiful beach area where surfers were surfing, and Knocknarea to climb if you have the legs for it! Dinner at The Venue and best we’ve had so far.
The Strand Bar was fantastic too. Fresh sweet seafood!

Sligo is a lovely place, both for itself and its location to explore lots of interesting places nearby. There are lots of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste.
The man in the tourist office was so nice and helpful. We were sorry that we couldn't go on the walking tour It sounded very interesting .
The one way traffic system is a bit confusing but we got used to it quickly. Actually, I'd advise people to park the car and just walk.. its much quicker.
The location was wonderful with lovely scenery. Not far from Sligo town. Beautiful modern spacious apartments with everything you could possibly need. Bathroom in each bedroom, all mod cons in the kitchen and very quiet and peaceful with stunning views. Great for families. The host/manager Jeremiah was exceptional. Best customer service I’ve ever come across. We had a minor issue checking in and he was outstanding in customer care. Went above and beyond for us.
This is a city centre hotel. There were major road works when we went and also works on the hotel. It was difficult to locate the car park. We did but had to ring the hotel for directions. This was ok. The room had scaffolding to the window. I understand the reasons, but this was not expected. The room was fine, and all facilities worked. I have no issues with anything. It was overall a good stay. The evening meal was good as was the breakfast.
The hotel was very well located 15 min drive outside Sligo in a beautiful and quiet area.
You are welcome by lovely staff and some relaxing music playing in the room on the vintage radio. The decoration is exquisite, and the cleanliness was on top. The room was spacious with a small sofa.
Very agréable and relaxing stay would recommend it and definitely will come back.
Fantastic place. Really enjoyed my stay. Receptionist in particular was very helpful, could not have been nicer. The food is excellent and staff in the bar area were very helpful.
PROS: Value for money (Rooms and meals), Staff, very clean, food, hotel grounds
CONS: Really can't think of any cons.
Would highly recommend for couples and/or families.
Great location, very close to the city centre and all the other wonderful attractions Sligo has to offer. Lovey and friendly reception and security, easily accessed and quick to answer any questions. It is student accommodation during the term year so it is basic - the bed mattress could have been comfier, but it is clean, safe and secure.
Staff are very friendly, attentive, caring and kind. You are not just a guest in their eyes, you are family and that is why I continue to return to Riverside anytime I visit Sligo, Riverside is my number one choice.
Wide variety of tasty nutritious food
Excellent location
Excellent facilities
Beautiful rooms, spacious, bright and airy.
The kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots. The rooms were clean and were not too small. The house was cosy and warm (once we were shown how to turn the heating on). The duvets were good quality and the beds were comfy. It's a really good, central, spot for getting into Sligo town or for touring around the countryside.
customer always came first .staff where friendly and nothing was any trouble for them .It made our stay very enjoyable I would recommend the Clayton in Sligo to anyone looking a relaxing customer friendly spotless hotel Great for families and couples alike.
Lovely and exceptionally clean room.
In city centre which helps a lot.
Car park close by, and you probably would be able to park right outside the hotel, best to check if there is a parking meter. Overall, great hotel to stay for a couple of nights.
Sligo Park Hotel was perfect for our staycation. We did not use the leisure facilities as the weather was fantastic and we spent all our time on the beach. So many beaches so close to Sligo. Also within walking distance of the city centre.
Great hotel with Pub, bar, restaurant. Good size rooms and very large comfortable beds. Modern design. Very close to sligo town and to Rosespoint beach. Great breakfast options are available. Highly recommended for few nights.
Hotel is in a really nice location around 10 minutes drive outside Sligo town at Rosses point.
It's within walking distance of a great beach, and if you are lucky with your room you'll have stunning sea views.
