Situated in the northern Iceland coastal village of Saudárkrókur, this property is 90 minutes’ drive from central Akureyri. It offers free Wi-Fi, an on-site bar and an outdoor geothermal hot tub. the outside look does not do the property justice, it is totally beautiful inside and well decorated, the building is ancient and they have maintained it very well. the receptionist was lovely, they had robes in the room as there was a geothermal hot tub ( we didn't use it but it looked great). the breakfast was great and the staff in the breakfast area were so pleasant. i loved it.

The apartment was amazing, a lot better than expected. The whole house has a soul, its very cozy and modern at the same time. The area is beautiful, out in the "wilderness", but there is a cute town only 10 minutes away with restaurants. The kitchen was very well equipped, the showers had hot water. The room was cozy and spacious, warm as well, with a nice view. We saw aurora perfectly from here. The check in process was also extremely smooth. I would definitely stay here again!

Set in Sauðárkrókur, Karuna Guesthouse offers accommodation with a sauna and a hot tub. The property has mountain and garden views. Very clean and comfortable place, with kitchen, a big lobby, a farm with horses, dogs...all you need. You don't see the owners, but in the morning they let in the kitchen, milk, yogurt, cheese, bread, butter, eggs from the farm, corns, juice...etc etc. for breakfast. Very nice views and place.

Hands down the best accomodation we have had in Iceland. Huge space, lovely big bathroom, excellent facilities including a washing machine and drying rack. Offering a barbecue and terrace, Steinn Farm Private Apartment is set in Sauðárkrókur in the North Iceland Region. The apartment has a panoramic view over the fjord. One of the best guest house we've stayed in all of Iceland! Very spacious living room, kitchen, bathroom, comfy beds. A full house that felt modern and well maintained, didn't feel cheap at all. Just next to the very nice owners' farm. Excellent remote location next to the sea with clear view on the sky to watch notrhen lights if you're lucky! Whish we could have stayed longer

Very clean and cozy. The professor who was also the proprietor was unbelievably accommodating and friendly. His homemade brewed beer was absolutely amazing I bought him out. Highly recommend
